Today N1 students visited the N2 classroom to prepare for next year. Students in N2A were paired with an N1 student to help them for the class period. They sat with their new friends for morning circle time and helped them with our morning routines. They also worked together putting on their smocks and painting a worm apple craft together. N2A students got to practice their leadership skills and did a great job helping their new friends! SSIS Family celebrating Songkran Festival. Celebration begins with the traditional pouring of water on the Buddha Image which is a gesture of worship during the annual Songkran festival."Bathing the Buddha image" ceremony, whereby devout Buddhists pour fragrant water over Buddha statues both at the temple and at home.
The second gesture practiced by our students and staff members would be pouring water on the elder's hands. This is a ceremony in which young people convey their best wishes to their elders by pouring water over their hands.
The programs that followed after the traditional rituals were: performances by students and teachers, games, art and crafts and a wonderful spread of food contributed by parents. A wonderful celebration indeed for all. ... See MoreSee Less
